His wife Ave runs the kitchen side of things, making sure everyone produces something they'll actually be proud to eat. We made two traditional sauces, then sat down to eat with bread, as well as a genuine Canarian tapas and drink — a perfect, relaxed morning without committing to a full day. When brunch time arrived, their home and gorgeous table setting made it feel like a real occasion. Nothing touristy about it. One practical tip: the roads are narrow so give yourself extra time, and make sure your offline maps are actually downloaded before you go — don't assume like we did!"
